Smith Fasteners Limited was founded in 1984 as a distributor of Industrial Fasteners mainly based around the Electrical Industry. It soon became clear that there was a gap in the market for this distribution expertise to be applied to other products within the general requirements of the Electrical Wholesaler. This led to a rapid expansion of products available from Smiths and pushed the company towards its current position as a specialist supplier of Metal and Plastic Conduit fitting systems.

As a specialist supplier we aim to be the best at what we do rather than trying to do everything and our concentration on specific ranges within cable management has led us to become one of the largest suppliers of conduit fittings to the wholesale trade in the UK
